A: We now accept Paypal. You may also order from other online ordering sites (see the catalog page for a list) that carry Lovitt goods. If you choose to order via mail, we accept checks draw from U.S. banks, U.S. money orders, or U.S. cash. Rates are postpaid in the U.S. only, so don't forget to add money for postage if you live outside America.
A: We have roughly a hundred zines/e-zines/publications that we regularly place ads in or send promos to. Since we are a modest operation, we have to be choosy about what we publicize in. This is especially true for publications outside the U.S., since postage overseas is so high.
If you feel that your project will benefit from a Lovitt ad or review please send us a copy or point us to the URL, and we'll take a look at it from there. Some of our releases are sent out by press companies that service larger publications. If you want to find out of you are on their list or ours, e-mail Nate.
A: AAM currently sends out most of our releases to college radio stations. If you are currently not on their mailing list, e-mail Justin Justin. If you are a station that plays our records, please send your playlists to Nate. If you are a commercial station wanting our releases, please e-mail Nate.
A: Lovitt bands have generally joined us by a) putting on a crazy live show b) playing with other Lovitt bands on tour c) being recommended by Lovitt bands or d) forming from the DNA of other Lovitt bands. We've never yet signed a band based on demo alone. This, of course, is not to say that we've never gotten an excellent demo that has impressed us. Bands that get signed to any label not run by their friends or acquaintances generate hype for themselves by playing as many shows as they can, touring like crazy, and releasing their own material. It's almost guaranteed that if bands work on creating their own publicity through hard work, someone will notice.
A: No. We get enough spam mail from having our site listed on search engines alone! If you like, send us a demo through the mail but first read the question above.
A: All tour dates are posted on the “Shows” page when we know them.
